Job purpose

Supporting the DACH sales and onboarding function by being a go to person to help answer technical questions and provide solutions for common customer requests during the presales process achieved by working closely with Product development and marketing teams to maintain product knowledge and craft creative demonstrations and solutions to customers business requirements. Supporting the Onboarding team in the after-sales process with the Onboarding of the new customer.

Main Responsibilities

The main goal of the Unily Sales Engineer is to support the Unily commercial business to win the decision of customers to purchase and use our technology. You will work in a team, enabling the customers through digital transformation by leveraging the Intelligent Cloud and Intelligent Edge. Solution Specialists are expected to be able to both own and win the customers functional & technical decisions.

The Unily Solution Specialist explains, demonstrates & proves the capabilities of Unily Digital Workplace solution by articulating relevant and compelling business case examples built on technical and functional value messaging.

Alongside direct prospective client engagements, the successful candidate will support our growing partner business, providing functional and technical guidance to prospects who engage with Unily via our partner channels.

As a Unily Sales Engineer (SE):

You will help prospects make technical decisions to architect tomorrows Digital Workplace utilising Unily.

  • You will lead technical presentations, product demonstrations, workshops, architecture design sessions, and pilots to explain, demonstrate, and prove to our largest customers the capabilities of the Unily Solution and services, and how we can make their businesses more successful.
  • You will lead to clear technical, competitive and security blockers questions to accelerate Unily sales and customer usage.
  • You will look to uncover cross-Unily opportunities for Intranet & Extranet solutions.
  • You will familiarise yourself with the Unily-Integration-Framework and confidently articulate the technical and functional requirements.
  • You will own winning the technical decision at customers for Unily sales opportunities and usage scenarios, through tailoring your message, bringing ideas to customers, engaging with them to show our technology differentiation, and guiding them in decision making.
  • Gathering business and functional requirements
  • Managing client expectations around timelines and deliverables
  • Learning new technology platforms and becoming a subject matter expert that can train and educate new clients and partners

This role is a vital connection and orchestration point for various technical resources, by:

  • Responding effectively to technical & functional sections in RFIs/RFPs.
  • Play an active role in Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and support the implementation team. Taking the lead here would involve ensuring the product is being represented in the best possible light and a close working relationship with product marketing is established to deliver branded demo sites and showcase latest product and Unily development framework.
  • Helping identify and diagnose technical, architectural, and competitive blockers and respective solutions for sales opportunities and usage decision blockers and helping ensure that these solutions are implemented.
  • Shaping current and future products, marketing strategies, and customer centricity ideas through your feedback to sales, marketing, and product.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed for the Job

  • Fluent German & English speaker
  • 5+ years of SaaS client facing delivery roles or relevant experience from client´s side
  • Strong client facing presentation skills
  • Confident presenter and public speaker at seminars and on webinars
  • Be a technical Challenger seller to drive digital transformation.
  • Balance multiple projects in a team-selling environment.
  • Self-motivated, able to adapt to different situations and handle multiple workloads at once.
  • Innovative thinker with confidence to contribute ideas and think outside the box.

An exciting opportunity to be part of a new team to help shape/grow this role to be most effective and successful with the overall aim of growing the Unily business. There are plans for this team to grow. Very competitive base salary plus bonus scheme.
